Warehouse Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the company’s warehouse and distribution operations involving efficient stock management, order management and processing of orders and deliveries of the same.

The role will also involve the management and coordination of all warehousing resources in an efficient manner to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehousing processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Duties will include:

· Promote a safe, clean, and efficient working environment

· Leading and motivating the warehouse team.

· Create a positive work environment and targets are met by the team.

· Lead the warehouse team taking full responsibility for day-to-day operations.

· Ensure colleagues are proactively managed to ensure capacity is available to meet the customer needs.

  • Manage the overall performance, linked to KPI’s to ensure activity is recorded and measured to optimize efficiencies.
  • Train and support staff in correct scanning procedures to ensure full compliance.

· Ensure all inventories, orders and stock management processes are completed to standard.

· Always maintain a clean and safe working environment.

· Provide excellent customer service throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities:

– Resource Optimization: Strategically manage warehouse resources for maximum efficiency

– Stock Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, process supplier orders, conduct stock takes and ensure careful stock rotation.

– Sales Management: Ensure efficient processing of customer orders and provide exceptional customer service

– Order Management: Coordinate and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure that all orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

– Delivery Management: Schedule delivery resources and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and ensure they are audited routinely to ensure compliance.

– Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain hygiene standards, equipment, waste management, and building security.

– HR: Induct, train, and manage colleagues, including performance reviews and budget management.

– Collaborate and work closely with our 3PL partners

– Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with legislation and maintain hygiene and security standards and ensure that all staff are fully trained for the roles in which they carry out.

– General Items: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and produce regular reports and statistics

Candidate Requirements:

-Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing warehouses

-Dip/BSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

– Experience in ISO 9001

 Have experience within logistics and containers coming from China

– Excellent IT skills that include detailed experience with various stock management and account packages.

– Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

– Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.

– Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
