Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Planer for a large company based in D 22
This is a Full Time Permanent position and a great opportunity to join a large team
This role will report in to the Commercial Operations Manager and will join the commercial team with the responsibility of scheduling and the associated fleet movements.
The teams will operate extended hours across 5 days a week and will require the candidate to operate a flexible working pattern in order to be available to the team as required.
The Successful Candidate will:
- Ensure planning for effective utilisation of Vehicles in line with collection and deliveries
- Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and security requirements consistently.
- Monitor collection timings and driver locations to ensure the smooth operation of service.
- Be a point of contact for drivers on the road in relation to routes and vehicle issues.
- Adhere to budgets in relation to costs as advised by the Commercial Ops Manager
- Ensure driver hours are in compliance with Working Time Act and taking action to amend as necessary.
- Tachograph compliance, performance and identify where gaps are.
- Ensure accuracy of driver clock information in relation to working hours on the Company Time and Attendance System feeding information across to payroll
- Candidate to work in tandem with EHS and Compliance to ensure adherence.
- Cross training to cover holidays, day off, training around scheduling of collection routes
- Knowledge on waste management reporting.
- Knowledge of Greater Dublin area
- Ensure SOP’s are adhered to at all times
Essential Requirements and Qualities
- Transport Planning experience in Dublin area necessary
- Strong experience in Microsoft tools, especially in Excel
- Motivated and reliable
- Ability to multi-task while performing under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Proficient in spoken, written, and reading English.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt in a changing environment.
