Sales representatives are responsible for communicating the benefits of a company’s products in order to drive sales. Sales reps serve as the point of contact between a business and its prospects or clients and have a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services.
Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:
- Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts/ customers by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales leads and other inbound facing leads/ customers.
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of customer needs and presentation solar report and quote.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and new leads into the business.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. Management will provide a report basis on the salespersons productivity to improve and analyse.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer objections to sales by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending sales training, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies for the benefit of the company and sales team.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Close and sell to as many of the company’s prospects daily.
- Attendance at sales meeting mandatory.
- Sales KPI’s
- Call all leads on the company CRM within 24-hour period
- Minimum calls of 50 per day
- Attend and meet at least 3 scheduled solar surveys per day
- Conversion rate of 50% and above on all surveys within a month
- Sales Target of 20+ sales per month
- Average time and follow up rate analyses
- Sales rep productivity and leader board consistent efforts to be top sales rep on productivity between Solar and EV, (factors include; leads taken per month, calls per month, number of closed sales per month)
- Training attendance and sales process pinpoint analyses
