Service Engineer

Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer for a large company based in D 11

This is a Full Time Perm

 Our client are developing their range of packaging and wrapping equipment including shrink wrappers, case erectors, robotics & pallet security equipment and require an experienced Engineer to join the team

The Service Engineers are responsible for performing on-site installations, servicing, maintenance, validation, calibration and repair of packaging and wrapping equipment.

This will be a challenging and varied role given the range and complexity of the equipment. The role offers a good opportunity for development in a fast growing and progressive company.

Ongoing training with suppliers is a feature of this role and will require the candidate to travel overseas.

Experience in on-site installations, servicing, maintenance, validation, calibration and repair of packaging and wrapping equipment is a must

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out tool repairs in the workshop.
  • Complete pre delivery inspections in the workshop
  • On-site installation and commission of machine equipment.
  • Perform preventative and service maintenance on packaging machines on customer sites.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager & Engineering Lead in the smooth delivery of customer projects and targets.
  • Experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance, in packaging machines.
  • Experience in PLC, Siemens, Allen Bradley
  • Familiar with relevant SOPs and controls for the operation and safe running of equipment.

Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in electrical /mechanical engineer.
  • Trade background & in-line production/maintenance experience desirable.
  • At least 2/3 years’ experience in a relevant industry
  • Field service experience.
  • Ability to analyse problems and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Verbal and written skills
  • Analytical person
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Technical analytical skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Valid driving license
  • Team player

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills together with an inherent drive to succeed.  An ability to work within a team environment and yet have the focus to lead by example, are desirable attributes.
