Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Express Freight Operations for a large company based in County Meath
This is a Full Time Permanent position and a great opportunity to join a large company
- Maintenance of the Company Culture within the operations team.
- Ensuring all freight and customs operations are carried out to the existing high standards.
- Ensuring the excellent communication with customers and suppliers is maintained.
- Maintain consistent attention to detail in a fast paced changeable environment.
- Ensure smooth running of operations for air, road, short sea and working directly with experienced customs team to ensure seamless transit at all times.
Freight Forwarding Operations
- Understand and recognise all requirements as per each individual service request from customer.
- Establish best service provider to suit customer request.
- Liaise with customer regularly with all relevant updates.
- Liaise with service provider on regular basis to monitor every shipment.
- Take responsibility for all shipments from booking until delivery.
- Obtain any import/export documentation required with a good knowledge of what is required for shipping purposes.
- Populate and update freight system (Azyra) with relevant information (KPI) IT
- Administration of the main TMS (Transport management system)/Accounting Software Azyra.
- Liaison with Group IT (France) and External IT (Locally based) in relation to IT issues.
- Assist with New employee onboarding – Set up on IT systems.
Customs Operations (Desirable)
- Collate all necessary paperwork for each shipment ensure all present in Azyra.
- Each operator allocated clearances according to experience.
- Delegate clearances to customs team, ensure to listen to all feedback from the customs team.
- Ensure customs doesn’t impact operations/service.
- Motivate and support team at all times.
- Reporting
- Preparation of weekly management and sales reports.
- Attendance at weekly management meeting.
- Weekly meeting with GM.

Experience
- Prior exposure to Freight Forwarding/Logistics sector would be necessary
- Air/express freight forwarding desirable.
- Understanding the flow procedure of customs clearance with freight forwarding.
- Customs clearance experience desirable
