Senior Commercial Sales Representative

Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Sales Representative for a large company based in D 22

This role offers an OTE package of €140K with an uncapped reward structure and the opportunity to far exceed your on target earnings.

Report to:General Manager (Commercial)
Responsible for:Ensure all role functions adhere to best practice and positive working environment 
Relationships with:• •Commercial department All other departments throughout the Company and affiliated entities (as required)
  • Utilise prospecting, relationship building, selling, contract negotiation, customer service techniques and social media to gain new customers.
  • Conduct market research to explore and identify additional service lines, new business opportunities and client leads.
  • Understand and act on information for target marketing and customer communications.
  • Prepares for and executes cold calls to influence potential commercial customers (medium and/or large accounts) into setting appointments with the purpose of presenting and selling Waste Management services.
  • Conducts pre-sales activities to gain understanding of the customers’ needs.
  • This includes gathering appropriate marketing material and pricing plans, identifying customer needs and interests to determine the best sales strategy and identifying potential objections with plans to address during the sales meeting.
  • Keep all sales activity tracked and up-to-date in an acceptable format for quick reference and support of sales actions.
  • Work closely with the Commercial General Manager to define specific sales goals and measures of success for assigned territories and the company overall.
  • Develop & maintain a reporting dashboard (sales goals and efforts) for executives and shareholders
Understand and effectively communicate acceptance policies in an appropriate fashion to target audiences.
Negotiate and close sales by effectively communicating alternatives and positions to reach mutually beneficial sales agreements.
Analyse data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms.
Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and company expectations.
Collaborate with other departments to part take in marketing projects, campaigns, events and exhibitions to contribute to the overall positive image and success of the company.
Deal with client enquiries and provide them with professional support and accurate information.
  • Build a comprehensive sales plan that maps out a clear route to hitting these goals; incorporating different sales techniques and play to the strengths of the Commercial team.
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives in line with our growth strategy, with the key focus being on Value Added.
  • Coordinating with company leadership to conduct risk assessments and maintaining beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers and other business partners.

The ideal candidate

  • 3rd level Sales / Commercial / Business management qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience of selling to medium / large businesses 
  • Solid understanding of cost, price and analysis
  • Outstanding English writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude with decision making and working with numbers
  • Be adaptable to an ever changing market and be dynamic, self-motivated enthusiastic individual with a passion and flair for sales
  • Must have a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit and be a natural forward planner
  • Be credible, and comfortable in dealing with various customers types
  • Be well presented; business like and keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. 
  • Must have the ability to get on with others and be a team-player
  • Resilient; self-motivated with excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of delivering on targets and deadlines
  • Previous sales experience within Paper Recycling Industries would be beneficial
