Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Bookkeeper to oversee the day‑to‑day financial operations of several companies within a growing group.
Based in Dublin, this is a full‑time permanent position offering exposure across Ireland, the UK, France, and multiple business units.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Senior Book Keeper and have a passion for Accounts
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full bookkeeping function across multiple companies within the group
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records, ledgers, and journals
- Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payments
- Complete bank reconciliations for all group entities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidated financial reports
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage VAT returns, RCT (if applicable), and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors in Ireland, the UK, and France
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Support payroll preparation and ensure correct allocation across entities
- Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and internal controls
- Provide financial insights to senior management to support decision‑making
Requirements
- 4+ years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally within a multi‑entity or international group structure/ or within a busy company
- Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards, VAT, and compliance
- Fluent in French and English is a real advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Surf Accounts)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with management and external partners
- Experience preparing management accounts is a strong advantage
