Our client is a fantastic company that supplies top-quality fruits to the Irish market, serving well-established client bases, including major supermarket chains and other retailers.
- Open to recent graduates or school leavers with a keen interest in sales, trading, or international business.
- Background in a business-related field, sales, or trading experience is a plus but not essential.
As our client continue to expand, both as a business and in our physical operations, we seek a motivated team member to help our client connect quality produce with clients and contribute to our next phase of growth.
As part of the team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of produce trading and sales, learning from industry experts while managing client relationships, supporting market analysis, and contributing to daily operations. Reporting to The Commercial Manager and working closely with departments such as transport, QA, warehouse, and accounts, you’ll play a vital role in their expanding operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relations & Sales Support
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients across Ireland, focusing on established and new accounts within retail and food service.
- Support the Commercial Manager in identifying and securing new sales opportunities.
- Coordinate the sales process to ensure seamless service and support for clients.
- Market Analysis & Trading
- Assist in monitoring market trends and analysing opportunities to maximize profitability within the Irish market.
- Support the trading process by accurately managing margins, pricing, and calculating in real-time to meet client needs and business goals.
- Operational Coordination
- Work closely with transport, QA, warehousing, and accounts teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring operational needs are met as they expand our client services and capacity.
- Administrative Support
- Oversee essential administrative tasks that support the trading and sales functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, order processing, and documentation.
- Handle invoicing, contracts, and client communications, ensuring smooth administrative workflows and timely support to the trading team.
- Provide organisational support, tracking orders and updates to assist in maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.

Candidate Profile

Skills & Attributes:
- Numerical & Analytical Skills: Confident in calculations, with a strong grasp of margins and pricing.
- Time Management: Able to prioritise effectively and handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Communication: Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Sales-Driven: Ambitious and results-oriented, with a genuine interest in trading and client success.
- Adaptability: Eager to learn and grow, with the ability to adapt quickly to changes and challenges in a dynamic environment.
Education & Experience:
