Purchasing and Stock Control Assistant

Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Purchasing and Stock Control Assistant for a large company based in D 12

This is a full time Permanent position and a great opportunity to join a fantastic company.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the successful candidate be part of a team which ensures customer orders are filled to the wide range of retail and foodservice customers.

Main Duties

  • Process and Issue Purchase orders to Irish and European suppliers
  • Track orders though the supply chain from order issue to receipt of stock in the warehouse
  • Monitor product dates on deliveries to ensure maximum product life is obtained
  • Raise claims / non-conformances from suppliers where necessary
  • Monitoring picking errors and ensuring stock is corrected accordingly
  • Liaison with warehouse personnel
  • Maintaining accurate product records
  • Raise cyclical stock counts to ensure accurate records are maintained
  • Assist with full stock checks
  • Investigate and report stock variance arising from counts
  • Arrange transport of product from all suppliers
  • Administer customs requirements resulting from Brexit
  • Expedite deliveries with hauliers
  • Maintain transport cost on company stock system
  • Reports to include, on time deliveries, supplier shortages, product our of stock, overdue orders, customer fill rates

  • Work to a high degree of accuracy within strict guidelines
  • Previous experience within Purchasing & Stock Control
