Plant Maintenance Line Operator / Tech

Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting a Plant Maintenance Line Operator / Tech

The primary purpose of this role is this role will take on responsibility for working with a team to maintain the plant and equipment to optimum operational condition across the sheds and site:

  • Ensuring that there are no breakdowns or disruptions in the production processes.
  • Conducting regular inspection and maintenance of all the machinery in the facility.
  • Working with existing team ensure all team duties are covered in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that all safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Testing the machinery to ensure that the same is seamlessly working.
  • Ensuring that the machinery and equipment are being used to full capacity and that production is optimum.
  • Keeping a record of all service, maintenance and refurbishing works carried out on the machinery.
  • Supporting and communicating with the production team to achieve plant schedules and provide engineering solutions to recurring reactive maintenance issues
  • Assist in setting and achieving agreed budget targets.
  • Managing the plant to maintain safety, environmental, quality and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure production process is compliant with all relevant legislation (EPA, HSA etc)
  • Ensure that the company is compliant with all employment law acts and, safety, health and welfare Act 2005.
  • Responsible for meeting predefined KPI targets with respect to maintenance downtime, maintenance performance and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Ensure site documentation is accurate, timely and relevant.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures of the facility are adhered to
  • Resolve concerns, conflicts and problems of the staff ensuring that services are provided in a professional manner
  • Oversee building security and respond to all centre emergencies, ensuring staff safety
  • Implement and develop operational metrics and reporting models
  • Effective management to ensure delivering best value return in production activities whilst maintaining full compliance with all regulations
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping to ensure we meet our contracted obligations with outlet clients
  • Maximize pellet production pellet line up time.
  • Prepare weekly work schedules and conduct weekly progress meetings and prepare weekly progress reports
  • Effective management, guidance, and training of delegated resources
  • Communicate with employees about performance expectations
  • Problem solving and trouble- shooting mechanical, process and electrical problems and application of good working principles
  • Ensure continued improvement for more efficient production of plant and maintenance work
  • Ensure Health & Safety, and Quality requirements, both legislative and company specific, are fully respected and taken account of
  • Ensure safety policies is adhered to with all employees and contractors and ensure all relevant documentation is available and all processes are complied with eg: Tag out Lock Out, Hot works permit
  • Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by management.
