The Payroll Manager will lead the centralized payroll team in Ireland processing up to 2800 staff across the Group. The role ensures the smooth and efficient running of a busy high volume payroll department that manages and processes weekly, and monthly payroll, and all Revenue returns. The role is responsible for reporting to internal and external parties within deadlines; and developing effective relationships with stakeholders & implementing process improvements within payroll where necessary.
Minimum Education & Experience required:
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline (desirable)
- Relevant Irish Payroll Association (IPASS) qualification, Certificate in Payroll Techniques, Certificate in VAT Techniques Certificate in Employment Law Diploma in Law
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, in the payroll field, at supervisory/managerial level in a high-volume busy payroll environment with multiple points of contact
- Experience of CORE Pay (desirable) and designing Business Intelligence (BI) and report writing (desirable)
Job Duties & Responsibilities

- Experience of CORE Pay (desirable) and designing Business Intelligence (BI) reports (desirable)
- Understanding and experience of the Not-for-Profit sector (desirable)
- Lead the delivery of a Payroll function across the Group in Ireland, into a focused team, to include general supervision, delegation of duties, approval of annual leave, management of absence and performance and the provision of ongoing support and mentorship, in order to respond effectively to internal customer
- Check each Payroll every period (weekly/monthly) before complete update
- Process the EFT transfer of monies for staff to bank, maintenance of same and contact banks if any problems arise
- Lead the development and maintenance of the SharePoint Timesheet and CORE HRIS (Pay) systems to include processing SharePoint Timesheet user access levels; training new SharePoint Timesheet users; the design and production of all necessary Core (Pay) business intelligence (BI) reports as required; maintenance of reference data; and working with Group IT to implement software upgrades.
