This role will involve travel throughout Ireland, and candidates must be able to attend meetings at the Dublin Head Office as required

Responsibilities for the job:
The dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Manager will lead sales and drive growth in collaboration with Area Territory Managers and Merchandising team across Ireland for our Home, Garden and DIY business. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and promoting our wide range of brands and services to achieve revenue targets. Reporting to the CEO, you will develop and implement strategic field sales plans, oversee field sales operations in, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. This role will be a mix of client facing in the field and working closely with in our commercial and operations teams in our HQ in Dublin.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with our field sales team and merchandising team to grow our business
- Manage business pipeline to increase field sales.
- Work specifically with the DIY buying groups to drive business
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand market presence.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking in new current and new channels.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform decision-making.
- Represent the company at relevant trade shows, training events, and exhibitions.
- Identify and mitigate any issues or risks impacting sales.
- Provide detailed reporting on sales performance, including KPIs and objectives such as pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, sales conversion rates, and sales cycles.
- Travel nationwide to meet customers and colleagues.
- Be highly visible across the company portfolio, seeking to improve sales through ongoing visits and remote engagement.
- Create and promote a customer-service culture across the business by working closely with colleagues on issues and opportunities.
- Experience in creating sales proposals and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders. Key Skills and Competencies
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to challenge, influence, and advise clients.
- Previous working experience as BDM, especially within the FMCG and or DIY sector would be an advantage
