Key Requirements
A third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Quantity Surveying
Be permanently resident in the Republic of Ireland
A minimum of 3+ years post qualification experience in a similar role
Excellent interpersonal, mathematical and communication skills
Understand methods of measurement and the concept of cost/valuation reconciliations
Previous experience of mechanical inclusion works packages
Have the ability to work well as part of a positive working high performance team.
Have full knowledge of Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning and plumbing/piping systems.
General Responsibilities
Oversee the tendering process from initial inquiry stages
Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to obtain required information for
tender pack preparations
Responsibility for the preparation and issuance of competitive tenders and detailed
estimates for clients across multiple sectors
Attend pre & post tender meetings
Comply with supply chain sub-contract quotations
Ensuring supply chain full compliance with specification and requirements
Complete take offs from tender packs and drawings
Manage costs for projects and assess risk for cost control purposes
Prepare proposals, complete BOQ’s and participate in contract negotiations
Report regularly to management on competitor activities, market trends and dynamics.
