Logistics Administrator Assistant

The Logistics Administrator responsibilities include supporting all supply chain procedures working next to the Logistics team lead, from coordinating deliveries to managing shipping documentation.

This role will be heavily administration within the office and dealing with paperwork and systems supporting the Logistics Team Lead

The role will be carrying out administrative tasks, such as generating reports, scheduling logistics meetings, responding to vendors or clients,

The administrative support will also allow the manager to focus on more technical tasks

The candidate will be detailed-oriented problem solvers who work well in a team environment while at the same time possessing the skill to work independently as needed. organizational, troubleshooting and basic computer skills are also essential to this role.

A Logistics Administrator is responsible for managing the movement and storage of goods and materials within a company or organization. On a day-to-day basis, the tasks of a Logistics Administrator may include:

  1. Coordinating with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
  2. Planning and organizing transportation routes to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  3. Tracking shipments and monitoring their progress to ensure on-time delivery.
  4. Managing inventory levels and conducting regular stock checks to maintain optimal levels.
  5. Processing orders and preparing necessary documentation, such as shipping invoices and customs paperwork.
  6. Liaising with warehouse and distribution personnel to coordinate the flow of goods and resolve any issues.
  7. Managing relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and seeking opportunities for cost savings.
  8. Analysing logistics data and generating reports to identify areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
  9. Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding the transportation and storage of goods.
  10. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments to implement best practices in logistics
  11. Various office duties to support the team and Lead
