Junior Operations & Sales Manager – Removals Industry
Location: Ireland (with occasional international travel) Type: Full‑time Salary: up to 50 K Reports to: Managing Director
About the Role
Our client is a well‑established removals company working with a wide range of customers across Ireland and globally. They are seeking a Junior Operations & Sales Manager to join their growing team. This person will work closely with the Managing Director and act as a key point of contact for both business clients and private customers.
This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role that requires empathy, organisation, and a genuine passion for logistics and customer service. No two moves are the same — understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Support
- Act as a primary contact for customers across Ireland and internationally.
- Handle inbound enquiries via phone, email, and video calls.
- Conduct virtual assessments where customers show their home or office and explain what needs to be moved.
- Provide clear, empathetic guidance — understanding that every move is unique and often stressful for the customer.
- Build strong relationships with clients across multiple industries.
Quotations & Sales
- Prepare accurate quotations based on customer requirements.
- Respond promptly to emails, queries, and quote requests.
- Follow up on leads and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Work closely with the MD to develop pricing strategies and service offerings.
Operations Support
- Coordinate logistics for removals across Ireland and internationally.
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, and external partners.
- Ensure all customer requirements are communicated clearly to the operations team.
- Assist with scheduling, planning, and problem‑solving during moves.
Business Development
- Identify new industries and potential clients who may benefit from removal services.
- Reach out to businesses, relocation companies, property groups, and corporate clients.
- Represent the company at events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with the MD as their “second arm” — collaborating daily and supporting strategic growth.
Team Collaboration
- Work alongside the MD and senior operations team as part of a tight, supportive unit.
- Share ideas, solutions, and improvements to enhance customer experience.
- Contribute to a positive, proactive team culture.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in customer service, sales, logistics, or operations (removals experience a bonus but not essential).
- Strong communication skills — confident on phone, email, and video calls.
- High level of empathy and patience; able to support customers during stressful moves.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
- A genuine passion for logistics, problem‑solving, and helping people.
- Ambitious, driven, and eager to grow within the company.
- Comfortable reaching out to new business clients and building relationships.
- Ability to travel internationally with the MD when required.
