This is a Full Time Permanent role
Candidate must have a valid forklift encase the person is needed to drive forklifts at any stage
Candidate will be required to roster work every second Saturday as part of the team
Purpose of Position
- To service customers in a timely, efficient and effective manner at all times
- Abide by all policies and procedures with regards to Health & Safety and Customer Service
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Advising and assisting customers with their purchases
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Assembling orders for collection or delivery
- Checking customer orders are booked out correctly
- Operating plant and machinery
- Working to deadlines
- Stock management
- Maintaining general cleanliness of work area
Health & Safety
- Ensure equipment is operated in a safe manner & wear PPE in the yard at all times
- Complete Daily Forklift Checks
- Walk designated area to check for H&S issues and report immediately (trip hazards &/or blocked fire exits)
- Notify “Immediately” if any damage to racking or machinery occurs
- Report any accidents/ Near misses immediately
Customer Service
- Display a positive/can do/will do attitude & offer perfect partners to customers
- Serve customers promptly & politely – acknowledge if with another customer
- Pick customer orders for collection/delivery
- Ensure all orders are wrapped and strapped correctly
- Load vehicles to ensure not overloaded & loads are safe for transporting
- Ensure yard dockets are clear & accurate
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained in yard & warehouse
- Review designated area layout to help improve sales & perfect partners are available
- Ensure customer uplifts have been authorised before putting back into stock
- Ensure customer yard returns have been authorised before putting back into stock
Stock / Goods in
- Ensure quick & accurate unloading of goods-in deliveries
- Check “All” dockets for stock received (100% check)
- Quarantine & markup specials received
- Ensure stock is put away immediately
- Ensure perishable stock is rotated when necessary
- Visually monitor stock levels & inform stock controller
- Check customer vehicle before writing dockets
- Assist in preparation, co-ordination & completion of Quarterly Stocktake

Understanding and following HSE regulations and safe working practices to prevent accidents.

Collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth yard operations.
- Forklift or Plant Operation (if required)
Ability to safely operate machinery like forklifts, telehandlers, or other yard equipment. Certification is often required.

Prioritising tasks effectively to keep operations running on schedule.
- Reliability & Punctuality
Being dependable and showing up on time is critical for maintaining operational flow.
- Adaptability
Ability to handle changing tasks, weather conditions, and workload demands.
