About the role:
· As a Technician you will report to the Workshop Controller
· Servicing vehicles to the highest standards of the Group as well as the manufacturers’ specifications and guidelines
· In our state-of-the-art facilities, diagnosing, testing and repairing faults using the latest technologies
· Working with our brand range including the latest release models including PHEV and EV
· You will receive up to date training in relevant technologies as the brands evolve, upgrade and grow their range and models
· You will be working with the team performing and reporting on vehicle health checks
· Your will liaising with the service desk to communicate requirements, additional parts and repairs on customer vehicles.
· Working as part of a team, supporting the training of apprentices and helping colleagues
Skills and experience:
· Up to 3 years’ experience as a technician, 4th year apprentice or completed a masters automotive programme in a European training centre – and have gained some experience in a workshop
· Ability to diagnose, test and repair faults using the latest technology.
· Experience working with EV and PHEV vehicles is not essential but an advantage
· Attention to detail when completing documentation and IT systems
· Be literate, numerate with fluent written & spoken English and good communication skills
· Full, valid, clean driving licence
· Knowledge and understanding of health and safety practices in the industry
