Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Customs Clearance/ Customer Service Operator for a large company based in D18
This is a full time Permanent position and a great opportunity to join a large team
The successful candidate would need to have at least 2-3 years’ experience dealing with Customs Clearance please .
This position would be within The Operations Team with an emphasis in Customs Clearance so the candidate will require preferably a minimum of 2 / 3 years’ experience in this field and in the shipping industry. Strong IT skills are an important requirement with proficiency in customs data input systems such as Descartes or Thyme.
09:00 to 17.30 hours Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch and coffee breaks etc.
Full internal and external training would be given as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Documentation: Prepare and process all necessary customs documentation for import and export
- shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
- Compliance & Tariffs: Ensure all shipments meet applicable laws and regulations, including correct HS/HTS
- classification and origin determination.
- Problem Resolution: Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and customs brokers to resolve shipment holds
- or queries efficiently.
- Reporting: Generate and maintain accurate customs reports and data within management systems.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in a freight forwarding or customs clearance environment is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish/EU and international customs procedures and requirements.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in customs data input systems and MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume documentation.
