Culture Officer

Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Culture Officer for a large company based in D 18

The role will be full time and permanent. The role will be based in D 18 but will be home based while the current restriction applies

This newly established People Department as a Culture Officer will be reporting directly to the Head of People.

The role will be responsible for driving engagement with our diverse workforce and ensuring that our people remain at the forefront of the company’s strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the TUPE inwards process is handled correctly both by ensuring that new staff are welcomed into the company and that their legal rights are protected
  • Create, establish and manage an innovative employee recognition and reward programme
  • Oversee the employee appraisal process and ensure that records are kept
  • Following the appraisal process ensure that any L&D needs are met through both internal and external training programmes
  • Establish and manage programmes that optimise employee retention
  • Travel to various sites to meet with staff to discuss their issues
  • Participate in filling promotional vacancies
  • Participate in performance development initiatives
  • Participate in the grievance/disciplinary process as required

Minimum Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a HR support role
  • Experience in creating and delivering developmental training courses
  • Experience in investigation, grievance and disciplinary processes
  • Good knowledge of Employment Law and TUPE transfers 
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal in fluent English
  • Capable of working alone and making effective and timely decisions
  • Ability to present information to management and staff
  • The ability to balance the rights of the staff with the needs of the business 
  • Strong people skills and proven leadership ability
