Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper for a large company based in Swords Co Dublin
The experienced Bookkeeper will have strong XERO experience and have a passion for book keeping and the industry
Practice experience is essential for this position and the role will be a mixture of office based and remote working.
Bookkeeper XERO – option to work remotely
(Part Time with the view to full time, possible extension of the contract term)
Salary will be depending on experience and negotiable for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping in XERO for a portfolio of clients including entering source records, bank reconciliations, maintaining purchase ledger and debtor ledger
- Preparing accounts to the trial balance stage
- Verify all financial transactions are recorded in the correct manner
- Preparation of sole trader and audit exempt accounts to review stage
- Preparation and submission of VAT, RCT and Income Tax returns
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll in SimplePay integrated with XERO
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Managing client queries in a timely and professional manner
- Corresponding with Revenue
- Providing general administrative support
- Other duties as delegated by Accounting Manager in Practice
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a busy practice, strong familiarity with all month-end company accounting processes (essential)
- Excellent working knowledge of XERO (essential)
- Familiarity with other applications integrated with XERO, for example Hubdoc, Stripe, PayPal, Pleo, Dear Inventory, A2X
- Experience in Payroll processing, Simple Pay application would be an advantage
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- Great attention to detail, thorough and methodical approach to work
- Strong customer service skills
