Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Bid Writer for a large company.
. This is a full time and permanent position.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions this role will be a home based role. Once restrictions have been lifted there will be a requirement for some office-based work.
Purpose:
The Bid Writer is responsible for preparing bid proposals by gathering and formatting information, in consultation with the sales and operations team, while observing deadlines and client specific requirements, and therefore ensuring that all bids are prepared to the highest specification and presented to potential clients ensuring that the client is seen as a professional and cost effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- To determine proposal concepts by identifying and clarifying opportunities, carefully studying requests for proposal and attending strategy meetings
- To gather bid information by identifying appropriate sources
- To prepare bids by assembling the required information in a format dictated by prospective clients
- Ensure that all bids are reviewed by key providers and operational managers
- Maintain quality results by ensuring that all bids are complete, accurate and presented in appropriate and agreed format
- Ensure bids are presented ahead of given deadlines
- To maintain an awareness of trends and best practice solutions and maintain personal networks within the bid writing community
Person Description:
The ideal candidate should have
- At least two years’ experience of bid writing
- A third level qualification in an appropriate discipline
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent presentation skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills
- Strong graphic design skills
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to work equally effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
