The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an Area Cleaning Manager and have a full cleaning driving licence.
The Area Cleaning Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing cleaning operations across multiple sites within a designated area. This role involves ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained, managing cleaning staff, and collaborating with other departments to meet company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Cleaning Operations:
Oversee daily cleaning operations to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Team Management:
Recruit, train, and manage cleaning staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing support and training to team members.
- Quality Control:
Perform regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and address any issues promptly. Implement quality control measures and maintain high standards.
- Scheduling:
Develop and manage cleaning schedules to optimise staff deployment and ensure adequate coverage across all sites.
- Budget Management:
Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures to ensure operations remain within budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Conduct safety training sessions for staff.
- Client Relations:
Foster positive relationships with clients and address any concerns or requests regarding cleaning services.
- Inventory Management:
Manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance of equipment.
- Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on cleaning operations, staff performance, and compliance issues for management review.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in facilities management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a cleaning management role or similar position.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clean driving license required.
