About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Air Freight Specialist to support the development and growth of their Dublin Airport cargo office. This role is suited to someone with a strong background in air freight operations, airline engagement, and commercial development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening airline relationships, enhancing service capability, and driving new business opportunities within the air freight sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with airlines, GSAs, and cargo partners
- Oversee day‑to‑day air freight operations within the airport cargo building
- Identify, secure, and grow new business opportunities
- Support the expansion of the airport office and its service offering
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient handling and customer service
- Provide market insights, rate updates, and commercial recommendations
- Ensure compliance with airline, airport, and regulatory requirements
- Represent the company professionally with carriers and clients
Requirements
- Proven experience in air freight (airline, GSA, or freight forwarding background)
- Strong understanding of airline processes, cargo handling, and rate negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and maintain key relationships
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness
- Ability to work independently and contribute to office growth
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work on‑site in the cargo building three days per week
