Accounts Assistant

Key skills and experience required:

  • Education: Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in role would be beneficial.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Record Keeping:
  • Process invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and on time.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting software.
  • Reconciliation:
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with Financial Reporting:
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Help with end-of-month and end-of-year closing procedures.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Track outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Prepare and send customer invoices as needed. 5.
  • Administrative Tasks: • Assist with filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Handle inquiries from suppliers, customers, and other departments.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
  • Compliance and Process Improvement:
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
