Procurement Manager

Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager for a large company based in Monaghan
This is a Permanent position and an opportunity to grow within your Procurement Career
Acting as a business partner to deliver cost effective purchasing and stock level efficiency for a busy FMCG. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Procurement strategy development, implementation and continuous improvement
Collaborative working with colleagues across the Organisations and developing and maintaining internal and external networks of procurement and purchasing champions.
Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods without sacrificing quality or delivery times
Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
Research new products to meet company’s goals
Lead sourcing activities, overseeing all activities related to procurement of material, from intent to purchase through to delivery of the material
Create and maintain a Supplier usage tracker which will monitor usage, costs and reduce waste.
Create KPIs regarding Costs and Usage with a goal to improve efficiency
Track performance within each spend category and defines budgetary impact
Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements
Review and resolves vendor issues and contracts
Competencies
Experience of FMCG industry standard procurement practices.
Good working knowledge contracts, basic estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling.
Understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change deviation.
Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels is essential.
Strong leadership skills and 3+ years management experience
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
Experience in collecting and analysing data, ability to generate valuable insights to optimise for margins, scheduling, and stock levels
Strong leadership capabilities.
Strong in IT systems deployment.
