Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) for a large company based in Galway
Reporting to: Director of Nursing (DON)
Position Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) will support the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing the
clinical services ensuring high standards of care are maintained and
that the nursing team operates efficiently. The CNM will provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and
day-to-day management to the nursing staff while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing and care teams, ensuring best practice
standards are consistently applied.
• Support the DON in managing the operational aspects of the nursing home, including staffing,
resource allocation, and clinical governance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring that
they are comprehensive and responsive to the needs of each resident.
• Manage clinical incidents and ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution, in line with
organizational policies.
• Lead clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance checks to ensure
ongoing adherence to HIQA standards.
• Contribute to the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff, fostering a culture
of continuous professional development and excellence.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration.
• A minimum of five years’ post-registration experience, with at least two years in a leadership
or supervisory role.
• A qualification in healthcare management (minimum QQI Level 6) or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong clinical, leadership, and organizational skills, with a proven track record in elder care.
