Assistant Front Office Manager

Impulse Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Front Office Manager for a large company based in Wicklow

This is a Full Time Permanent position and a great opportunity to gain a long term career within Hospitality

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To assist with the smooth and effective operation of the front of house function, including but not limited to reception, reservations and nights, in accordance with company profitability and budgetary targets

Main Responsibilities

  • To ensure customer needs are anticipated and satisfied to the high standards
  • To assist with the develop, maintain and implement appropriate policies and procedure to support high
  • standards of customer service and anticipation of guest needs
  • To assist with maximizing sales and implement company Yield Management policy
  • To promote upsell techniques as per company policy for all areas i.e. Restaurant, Bar, Haven etc.
  • To promote a helpful and professional image to guest’s
  • To handle guest complaints in a professional and helpful manner
  • To adhere to company accounting standards
  • To ensure all customer accounts are settled in full in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To assist with the AR accounts for them to be settled and have knowledge of the debtors procedure
  • To minimize overbooking situations and to handle same in a positive and professional manner
  • To become and remain familiar with the operation of Opera, Booking Engines, Open Table, Microsoft Office
  • To maximize the usage of the front of house computer system
  • To ensure adequate staffing levels for your department
  • To assist with the development, maintain and implement appropriate training for your department
  • To motivate staff and develop their ability to anticipate customer needs
  • To assist with the development and maintain a team structure in the front of house function
  • To assist with implementation of appropriate initiatives to maximize staff morale in your department
  • To ensure suitable communication systems are in place in your department
  • To assist with implementation of company human resources policies including but not limited to recruitment
  • and selection, grievance and discipline, performance appraisal, communication and reward management
  • To ensure the implementation and usage of the rate structure
  • To ensure and maintain security of cash, credit cards and reception floats
  • To take part in the daily audit
  • To develop & maintain and implement appropriate training for the Department
  • To assist with the completion of fire drill/evacuation’s procedure and maintenance of records
  • To attend management meetings
  • To provide management information as required
  • To implement company procedure in the event of fire or emergency
  • To implement and maintain hygiene standards as set out by the Company
  • To adhere to company Health and Safety policy and current Health and Safety legislation
  • To develop your management skills
  • To take part in company internal and external training as required
  • To carry out any reasonable requests by Management
  • To assist with the preparation of accurate and suitable
  • budget’s for your department as required
  • To manage reception float
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of all customer accounts
  • 39 hours per week subject to a 7 day rostering structure.
